Native Americans are believed to have descended from northeast Asia, arriving over a land bridge between Siberia and Alaska some 12,000 years ago and then migrating across North and South America. My guess is they discovered America. Colonized it too.

They discovered nothing because they had no idea what it was they found.

Imagine a gold mine and those mining were after the rocks because they did not know what gold was.

They were migrants who never advanced out of the Stone Age.

Migrants who had no concept of the size of the earth or that it did not go on forever.

I admire many of their beliefs. But they were just incompatible with the modern age.

I mean....who cares who got here first. Who staked claim to it and why much more important.

Thank God for Neocon Thomas Jefferson. The ultimate Nation building, occupation themed, Neocon. Our 3rd President.

And a mention to his Secretary, Captain Lewis.

There were millions of people in Mexico alone. If you're restricting this to North America I'd say there had to be at least a few million people. Not that this impacts my opinion in any significant way as far as the discovery is concerned.

This is what I was referring to earlier. That is not what is meant by discovery.

Lol, a great many important discoveries and such have been made by accident. These people were looking for a new place to live . I think they knew what they had found.

Why is it not a discovery when they do it, but it is when the Viking do?

Mr. D probably would consider the Vikings to have "discovered" America either.
