There are portions of it which are important and should remain or be included in any new legislation, but the rest needs to go.

It could be gone tomorrow if anyone had a better, workable plan. But until then it's got stay, except the stupid fine part. . It's not ideal, but it beats 50,000,000 unisured prople in the richest country on earth.

Unfortunately, we live in a society where government has created a dependent class, created policies which keeps them there and then convinced them that it's for their own good.

That is certainly a problem. Almost 50% don't pay federal income taxes. They certainly won't vote to give themselves skin in the game.

That's the intent. Keep handing out goodies because you know people will vote for those who support providing even more.

The workable plan is the free market. You do not have the right to enslave others. If you want something you pay for it.
