New lab detects dangerous levels of herbicide in food and soil globally

I have mentioned this before- our industrial farming methods are doing more harm than good.

______________

Anresco Laboratories in San Francisco just launched and they are using an innovative way to test for pesticide residues. Utilizing a regulatory recognized LC/MS/MS method, available to both non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and commercial companies, Anresco is able to find glyphosate in levels much lower than the standard, ‘high detection’ test rate of 20 parts per billion (ppb) and above.

LC/MS/MS, or liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry, is considered the gold standard for both quantification and semi-quantitative screening of food contaminants, such as pesticide residues. This is meaningful because the technology allows the lab to test for levels as low as 5 ppb, and in some cases, even lower. With many food and soil samples, LC/MS/MS allows for detection and quantification down to 2 ng/g with recoveries between 70 and 90 percent. This translates to 2 nanograms per billion, or comparatively, like finding a needle in a haystack if the needle was a blade of grass and the haystack was an entire solar system.

Big Agriculuture corps are just like any other Corporate anything when they take over.

PROFIT is god, people, health, all secondary to the bottom line.

When I was a young man, you could go to the supermarket and buy any Fruit they had and Vegetables and they would TASTE GREAT like they were intended to taste.

Today you cant buy a pear or a peach worth eating in a supermarket and thats just to start. Its a damn shame

When I go to Europe and eat at decent places (not fast food) less food fills me up more and tastes better.

Monsanto makes big tobacco look tame. And Hershey wants yo be even worse. Why isn't the FDA testing? Like we don't know.

Because senior executives from Monsanto serve as political appointees in the EDA and EPA.

Exactly. The government regulatory and even police agencies are often in control by the megacorprs. One more reason I say "For freedom to live the megacorps must die"

Scientist Attacked for Proving GMO Dangers Wins Defamation Suit in French Court

An update on the topic:

This scientist published a paper showing the dangers of Monsanto's GMO corn and Roundup pesticide. He was attacked and vilified. And now he wins in court.

______________________

Remember Professor Giles-Eric Seralini and his research team at the University of Caan in France? They provided pictures of rats fed Monsanto GMO corn saturated with Roundup weed killer. That’s why the corn is genetically modified, to survive the most dangerous herbicide on the planet.

Their study discovered that rats fed GMOs developed tumors and died prematurely. But that wasn’t the purpose of their study. It was set up to examine the long term toxicity potential of eating Monsanto’s GMO corn along with the inherent exposure to Roundup.

After Seralini’s long term toxicity study results were publicized with displays of rats showing huge tumors, a tsunami of outrage from pro-GMO scientists and shill journalists got favorable mainstream media (MSM) press.

The hundreds of scientists who defended Seralini’s work were mostly ignored. Many fence sitters were left confused and willing to side with the barking dogs of the biotechnology industry.
